Uniseeker Terms of Service

Welcome to http://www.uniseeker.org (“the Website”)! The Website is provided by Uniseeker.org, which is owned and run by Mr. Jan Kotek. Registration and use of the Website and its Services is free. We do however expect you to abide by our rules and regulations as detailed below.

Acceptance of terms

By registering an account on the Website, or otherwise accessing or using any part of the Website you accept these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them. The established agreement shall be referred to in these Terms of Service as the User agreement.

Children’s Online Privacy

By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree that you are at least 16 years of age at the moment of registration. If you have not yet reached the required 16 years of age please submit a written form containing the explicit consent of your parents to helpme@uniseeker.org so that we may accept your registration and welcome you to our community. Failure to do so exposes your account to termination.

Termination of the User agreement

Termination of the User agreement by either party will result in a ban or the deletion of the account.

The User agreement is effective until terminated by either party. If a user no longer agrees to be bound by these Terms of Service he must notify the site administration of the termination. A user may at any time give notice of the termination of the User agreement and request a ban or deletion of the account. These notices and requests are only accepted by the Website administration when they:

Originate from the user who´s account is subject to the notice or request

Are on request by the Website administration confirmed by a message originating from the e-mail account or telephone number associated with the account

When your account has been deleted, Uniseeker will use reasonable efforts to remove your Content from the Website, but you acknowledge that caching or references to the Content may not be made immediately unavailable.

Changes to these Terms

Uniseeker reserves the right to change or add to these Terms of Service. Any changes will also be binding upon pre-existing User agreements subject to the user being given 30 days notice of the changes. Within such period Uniseeker will give serious consideration to the objections of the user and may decide to revoke or amend the changes on the basis of such objections. If Uniseeker rejects an objection, the user is entitled to terminate the User agreement at the end of this notice period.

Uniseeker account and content security

By creating an account on the Website, you are responsible for maintaining the security of the account and its content, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under the account and any other actions taken in connection with the content. You must not describe or assign keywords to the content in a misleading or unlawful manner, including in a manner intended to trade on the name or reputation of others, and Uniseeker may change or remove any description or keyword that it considers inappropriate or unlawful, or otherwise likely to cause Uniseeker liability. You must immediately notify Uniseeker of any unauthorized uses of the content, the account or any other breaches of security.

Responsibility of registered users

When you register an account, post on the Website, post material to the Website, post links on the Website, or otherwise make (or allow any third party to make) material available by means of the Website (any such material, “Content”), you are entirely responsible for the content of, and any harm resulting from, that Content. That is the case regardless of whether the Content in question constitutes text, graphics, an audio file, or computer software. By making Content available, you represent and warrant that:

the Content does not contain anything threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another´s privacy, hateful or is racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;

the downloading, copying and use of the Content will not infringe the proprietary rights, including but not limited to the copyright, patent, trademark or trade secret rights, of any third party;

if your employer has rights to intellectual property you create, you have either (i) received permission from your employer to post or make available the Content, including but not limited to any software, or (ii) secured from your employer a waiver as to all rights in or to the Content;

you have fully complied with any third-party licenses relating to the Content, and have done all things necessary to successfully pass through to end users any required terms;

the Content does not contain or install any viruses, worms, malware, Trojan horses or other harmful or destructive content;

the Content is not spam, is not machine- or randomly-generated, and does not contain unethical or unwanted commercial content designed to drive traffic to third party sites or boost the search engine rankings of third party sites, or to further unlawful acts (such as phishing) or mislead recipients as to the source of the material (such as spoofing);

the Content is not pornographic or otherwise “Not Suited For a Workplace environment”, does not contain threats or incite violence towards individuals or entities, and does not violate the privacy or publicity rights of any third party;

your Content is not getting advertised via unwanted electronic messages such as spam links on newsgroups, email lists, other blogs and web sites, and similar unsolicited promotional methods;

your Content is not named in a manner that misleads your readers into thinking that you are another person or company. For example, your Contents URL or name is not the name of a person other than yourself or company other than your own; and

you have, in the case of Content that includes computer code, accurately categorized and/or described the type, nature, uses and effects of the materials, whether requested to do so by Uniseeker or otherwise.

By submitting Content to Uniseeker for inclusion on our Website, you grant Uniseeker a world-wide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, modify, adapt and publish the Content solely for the purpose of promoting Uniseeker.

Without limiting any of those representations or warranties, Uniseeker has the right (though not the obligation) to, in Uniseeker sole discretion refuse or remove any content that, in Uniseeker reasonable opinion, violates any Uniseeker policy or is in any way harmful or objectionable. Uniseeker will not be liable for any acts or omissions by the user, including any damages of any kind incurred as a result of such acts or omissions.

Responsibility of website visitors

Uniseeker has not reviewed, and cannot review, all of the material, including computer software, posted to the Website, and cannot therefore be responsible for that material its content, use or effects. By operating the Website, Uniseeker does not represent or imply that it endorses the material there posted, or that it believes such material to be accurate, useful or non-harmful. You are responsible for taking precautions as necessary to protect yourself and your computer systems from viruses, worms, Trojan horses, and other harmful or destructive content. The Website may contain content that is offensive, indecent, or otherwise objectionable, as well as content containing technical inaccuracies, typographical mistakes, and other errors. The Website may also contain material that violates the privacy or publicity rights, or infringes the intellectual property and other proprietary rights, of third parties, or the downloading, copying or use of which is subject to additional terms and conditions, stated or unstated. Uniseeker disclaims any responsibility for any harm resulting from the use by visitors of the Website, or from any downloading by those visitors of content there posted.

Violation of the Terms

Uniseeker reserves the right to terminate any account on the service or deny access to and use of the Website to any individual or entity if its use of the Web site has resulted in the violation of any of these terms or conditions, no matter how minor. Other then the termination of the account, violations can result in the issuing of official warnings or (temporary) bans to the account of the user. We do not want to do this, so please think before you contribute! Members of the site administration staff evaluate each particular Terms of Service violation and the outcome thereof on a case-by-case basis. Each case is different and will be treated accordingly at the Staff Member´s discretion.

Content Posted on Other Websites

We have not reviewed, and cannot review, all of the material, including computer software, made available through the websites and webpages to which Uniseeker links, and that link to Uniseeker.org. Uniseeker does not have any control over those non- Uniseeker websites and webpages, and is not responsible for their contents or their use. By linking to a non- Uniseeker website or webpage, Uniseeker does not represent or imply that it endorses such website or webpage. You are responsible for taking precautions as necessary to protect yourself and your computer systems from viruses, worms, Trojan horses, and other harmful or destructive content. Uniseeker disclaims any responsibility for any harm resulting from your use of non- Uniseeker websites and webpages.

Copyright Infringement and DMCA Policy

As Uniseeker asks others to respect its intellectual property rights, it respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that material located on or linked to by Uniseeker violates your copyright, you are encouraged to notify Uniseeker. Uniseeker will respond to all such notices, including as required or appropriate by removing the infringing material or disabling all links to the infringing material. Uniseeker will terminate a visitor´s access to and use of the Website if, under appropriate circumstances, the visitor is determined to be a repeat infringer of the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of Uniseeker or others.

Intellectual Property

This Agreement does not transfer from Uniseeker to you any Uniseeker or third party intellectual property, and all right, title and interest in and to such property will remain (as between the parties) solely with Uniseeker. Uniseeker, Uniseeker.org, the Uniseeker logo, and all other trademarks, service marks, graphics and logos used in connection with Uniseeker, or the Website are trademarks or registered trademarks of Uniseeker’s licensors. Other trademarks, service marks, graphics and logos used in connection with the Website may be the trademarks of other third parties. Your use of the Website grants you no right or license to reproduce or otherwise use any Uniseeker or third-party trademarks.


Uniseeker reserves the right to display advertisements on the Website and your Content.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Website is provided “as is”. Uniseeker and its suppliers and licensors hereby disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Neither Uniseeker nor its suppliers and licensors, makes any warranty that the Website will be error free or that access thereto will be continuous or uninterrupted. You understand that you download from, or otherwise obtain content or services through, the Website at your own discretion and risk.

Limitation of Liability

In no event will Uniseeker, or its suppliers or licensors, be liable with respect to any subject matter of this agreement under any contract, negligence, strict liability or other legal or equitable theory for: (i) any special, incidental or consequential damages; (ii) the cost of procurement for substitute products or services; or (iii) for interruption of use or loss or corruption of data. Uniseeker shall have no liability for any failure or delay due to matters beyond their reasonable control. The foregoing shall not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

General Representation and Warranty

You represent and warrant that (i) your use of the Website will be in strict accordance with the Uniseeker Terms of Service, with this Agreement and with all applicable laws and regulations (including without limitation any local laws or regulations in your country, state, city, or other governmental area, regarding online conduct and acceptable content, and including all applicable laws regarding the transmission of technical data exported from the Czech Republic or the country in which you reside) and (ii) your use of the Website will not infringe or misappropriate the intellectual property rights of any third party.


You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Uniseeker, its contractors, and its licensors, and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any and all claims and expenses, including attorneys´ fees, arising out of your use of the Website, including but not limited to your violation of this Agreement.

Jurisdiction and disputes

All legal relationships between Uniseeker and the user are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Should any dispute arise concerning the User agreement that cannot be settled amicably, then it should be brought before the court with competent jurisdiction in the Czech Republic.






Uniseeker.org (in the rest of this document referred to as Website) is in property of Mr. Jan Kotek, identification number 01230123, a subject registered in Czech Republic, hereby grants you access to Uniseeker.org, where it publicizes texts, images and other materials which have been supplied by Uniseeker.org and others. Mr. Jan Kotek retains the right to alter the contents of the Uniseeker.org or remove material without having to notify you at any point in time about such changes.

The information and materials on the Website are provided “as is” and cannot be considered an offer of services or a contract proposal. Contracts and services are only established by the acceptance of duly indicated quotations or offers by Mr. Jan Kotek.

Limited liability

The materials on the Website are offered without any warranties, expressed or implied, and without any claims as to their accuracy. These materials can be subject to change at any given time without prior notification from Uniseeker.org.

Especially all prices and fees on the Website are provided with reservation of type-, conversion-, and programming errors. For the consequences of such errors no liability is acknowledged or accepted by Mr. Jan Kotek. No agreement or contract with Mr. Jan Kotek is established based on such errors.


All intellectual property rights with regards to these materials offered and available on the Website are the property of Uniseeker.org and its licensors.


Privacy Statement



We respect the privacy of visitors to the website Uniseeker.org owned by Mr. Jan Kotek (hereafter “the Website”) and take care that the personal data which you provide us is handled in a confidential manner. The processing of the personal data happens in a manner in accordance with the demands of the Czech Data Protection Act.

Goals of the data processing

Your personal data will be processed for the entering into agreements and the performance thereof to the point of commercial services and the managing of the business relations which emerge from them, including the performance of activities aimed at the expansion of our client database.

If you fill out a contact or registration form on the Website, or send us an e-mail, the data provided by you will be stored for as long as the nature of the form or the contents of your e-mail demand with regards to the handling and answering thereof.

Click-behavior and Visit Data

General visitor data is registered on the website. This can notably include the IP-address of your computer, the possible username, the moment of retrieval and data sent by the browser of the visitor. This data is registered and used for statistical analyses of visit data and click-behavior on the Website. Additionally this data is used for optimization of the Website.

We try to keep this data as anonymous as we can.

Google Analytics

We make use of Google Analytics to keep track of how visitors use the Website and how effective our AdWords-advertisements are on Google´s search results. The acquired data is, including the address of your computer (IP-address), transferred to and by Google to be stored in servers in the United States. Please read Google´s privacy policy for more data in addition to Google Analytics specific privacy policy.

Google uses this data to keep track of how the Website is used, to report on the use of the Website to us and to be able to inform its advertisers about the effectiveness of their campaigns. Google can share this data with third parties when they are required to do so by Law, or to the extent that third parties process this data for Google. We have no influence on how Google performs its business practices. We have not granted permission to Google to use the acquired data for any other services provided by Google.

Social media

Incorporated in the Website are buttons to promote or share web-pages on the social networks Facebook and Twitter, as well as the AddThis toolbar to promote or share web-pages on other social networks, blogs and through email. These buttons are realized by code supplied by AddThis, Facebook and Twitter and not by Uniseeker.org or Mr. Jan Kotek. This code places a cookie.

Please read the privacy statements of AddThis, Facebook and Twitter (which are changed on a regular basis) to see what they do with the personal data which is acquired and processed by this code.

User account

You can create an account in order to get an access to a Uniseeker.org database, customize their experience. As registered user you can for instance save your favorite programs or easily contact the universities of your interest. We save information about your interest in order to present relevant content. This includes your former search queries and click behavior. We send occasional personal notifications and service messages about the status of your account; this can include a request to update your account details.

E-mail services

We offer newsletters with which we want to inform interested persons about news and developments in the area of higher education, our services, and related events. Your e-mail address will only be added to our list of newsletter subscribers with your express permission. We also offer update mailings which contain information we believe will be of interest to you, based on your profile information and indicated interests. The frequency of these update mailings will be set to a default frequency upon the creation of your user account. Every newsletter and update mailing contains a link with which you can adjust the frequency or remove yourself from our mailing list.

Use of cookies

We make use of cookies in the offering and performance of our electronic services. A cookie is a simple small file which is sent along with the web-pages of the Website and is saved on your hard-drive by your browser. We use cookies to save your options and preferences. You can disable these cookies through your browser, see for examples and more data on cookies http://www.aboutcookies.org.

Cookies from the American company Google are placed through the Website as part of the “Analytics”-service. We use this service to keep track of and acquire data on how visitors use the Website. Google can share data when required to do so by law, or to the extent that third parties process this data for Google. We have no influence on how Google performs its business practices.

Your Data

We collect personal information and share it with trusted third parties to analyze and provide us with feedback, suggestions and strategies to improve our business processes and the services we provide. In addition, from time to time, we may share personally identifiable information (such as name, email address and phone number) with carefully selected Higher Education Institutions, to verify the status of application or enrolment. We will inform the Higher Education Institutions that they are not allowed to use your personal information for any other reasons than to verify the status of your potential application or enrolment. However, the use of this data by these educational institutions is not governed by our Privacy statement and we can therefore not be held responsible for their use of the data we share with them. Educational institutions have separate policy practices for which Uniseeker.org has no responsibility or liability. For further information on such institution’s use of your information, please visit the applicable privacy policy of such institution.

We reserve the right to release personal information without your consent or without consulting you, when we believe that this is appropriate to comply with our legal obligations, to enforce our terms and conditions, to protect the security of this website or to prevent fraud.

Insight, correction and removal

When you have a relation with Uniseeker.org, you have after written request the option to view your personal data. In case the data provided by us contains errors, you can make a written request to have the data corrected or to have it removed. In addition you can inform us in writing that you do not desire to be approached with data on our products and services by reporting this to the following address:
